Ninja's in the family - whose next?
Hello to all!!
Last Tuesday exams took place for new 'Grading' amongst those who train and use the techniques of Ninjutsu (Ninjitsu), an old but very efficient form of Japanese self - defence.
My eldest and second eldest Grandsons, Alex and Christian both 'signed-up' for their specific exams and both got through. Chris was firstly a 'Jukyu - 10.Kyu' and bore the white belt. This is the grade for starters. He took then the exam for 'Kukju - 9.Kyu', passed and was awarded with his green belt. All Ninjas wear the green belt from 9. to 1.Kyu, the black belt only then being worn by those qualified as 'Dan'.
Alex, who had already passed from white to green belt and had his 9.Kyu, skipped the 'Hachikyu - 8.Kyu' and went for the grade 'Nanakyu - 7.Kyu' and was awarded his two silver 'stars' which are worn on his tunic. Those who have qualified for the 8.Kyu become one silver 'star'.
I am trying to get the fourth eldest grandson, Marcel-Pascal, who is now 14 yo, to get interested, without I might add, not much success. Will wait and see on that one.
Alex was voted in as Vice-Chairman of the Sports Club yesterday, so all-in-all, achievment was made in the family!!. Good one boys, 'Gramps' is now very proud!!.
Take care and Regards,
Rob.
