Olympian Mary King who won silver in the London 2012 Olympic games took to the streets on her horse - Imperial Cavalier. Sidmouth was packed with cheering crowds as Mary paraded along the seafront and through the town ending up at the Three-cornered Plot outside Kennaway House. Mary was welcomed by the town council and was told the news that the council had held an ‘extraordinary meeting’ and had decided to bestow her with the title of Honaray Freeman.
