Suddenly at his home on Saturday 5th July 2008, in his 95th year, Mr George Bate, beloved husband of the late Bess. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Jane, his son Peter, his grandchildren Dominic and Annick, his great grandchildren and his long-time carer and companion Phyllis. Funeral Service to be held at St Michael’s Church, Honiton on Friday 18th July at 2.30pm. Family flowers only, please. (née Manley), after a short illness in The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, Wonford on 7th July 2008. Sandra Eileen, aged 57, devoted wife of John, precious mum of Tracey and son-in-law Brian; loving and caring daughter of Bill and the late Violet Manley; dearly loved sister of Frances and Geoffrey and special nan to Josh.
