Members of Phoenix Carnival Club celebrate a blockbuster 2007

MEMBERS of Phoenix Carnival Club have celebrated one of their most successful seasons to date.

Among a massive haul of silverware on display during the club’s Christmas party was the South Somerset Federation trophy, which has never before left Somerset. Phoenix clinched the top award with its awe-inspiring Dragonia.

Herald photographer Terry Ife caught up with club stalwart Nick Worden and many other hard-working club members at Broadclyst Victory Hall.
