Axminster Enduro rider is GB champ

Phil Studley of Axminster showed his class with a stunning win in the final round of the AMCA British RockOil Hare and Hounds Enduro Championship at Adstone, Northampton to wrap up the national title.
In gruelling conditions he took the hole shot in the three hour long endurance race and came round after the first lap in third tucked in behind his elite class rivals The local rider revelled in the difficult conditions and soon took the lead and held that position until the end of the race to wrap up the class.
Phil, 29 from Axminster said, 'I have had consistent finishes all year which gave me a small cushion but anything can happen on the day. It was very hard going but, once I was in the rhythm, I enjoyed the race'.
This was Phil's first year racing in the National series and he can add the title to other numerous race wins and regional titles this year, including the Exmoor Championship.
His aims for the 2009/10 season are to successfully defend his championship title and continue to develop his campaign of race/title wins including the infamous Weston-super-Mare beach race which was, unfortunately, cancelled on the start line this year and the 'Tough One' event in North Wales in January, which is renowned as one of the premier events in the world.
He said: "Obviously, like any privateer competing in motorsport, I am the rider, financier and mechanic!
"So I am actively looking to find a local business which would benefit from regional and national exposure for sponsorship."
