A30 closed following head-on collision near Upottery

The A30 has been closed in both directions near Upottery following a serious collision.

Emergency services are on scene between the A303 for Upottery and the A35 Monkton Road following a head-on collision between a car and a lorry.

Police have advised road users to avoid the area.

A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police called at around 7am following a serious head-on collision between two vehicles on the A30 near Upottery.

“Closures are now in place in both directions between the A35 and A303.

“We ask that road users avoid the area for the foreseeable future.”
