A temporary ‘pop-up’ arts centre will be just one of the events at this year’s Exmouth’s Christmas Cracker.

The event is on December 1 from 10am to 8pm in the Strand Gardens and the town centre and will see free carparking throughout Exmouth all afternoon.

And on Friday December 14 the shops will be open late, with street entertainment with Carol singers and the Town Concert Band, until 8pm with stalls selling mulled wine and mince pies.

At the Christmas Cracker revellers will be able to peruse the Christmas market which will include handmade, traditional decorations from Pauline’s Crafts and hot, spiced, fruit punch and puddings from Truly Treats and mulled wine composed by Roberta Wooltorton-Renouf.

Also, by using natural honey sourced from their own cider orchards and a couple of ‘secret’ ingredients they have created an authentic medieval drink.

‘Ye Olde Courtney’s’ of Whimple’ will be selling Medieval Mulled ‘Cider Apple Juice’ and lovely ‘Medieval Mulled Cider’ to keep us warm at the Christmas Cracker this year.

The Exmouth Pop-Up Art Centre at the Cracker will display an exhibition of and give shoppers the chance to pick up an original, local piece of artwork at an affordable price.

Santa will be in his Grotto at Exmouth’s Indoor Market which will be transformed into a winter wonderland with traders dressed as fairytale creatures serving wine and mince pies and there will be Punch and Judy, jugglers, magicians and a ‘Twelve days of Christmas’ treasure hunt.

The event will be sponsored by Kings Garden & Leisure, World of Country Life, Leisure East Devon, The Exmouth Journal and Ice Mountain.

If you would like to book a stall contact Suzanne Birkett, Town Management Officer, Exmouth Town by November 16 on 01395 276167 or tmassistant@exmouth.gov.uk.
