Only two crimes recorded by police in Honiton during New Year’s festivities.
New Year’s Eve celebrations in Honiton proved to be a quiet time according to police in the town - only two crimes were recorded.
A teenage man was arrested shortly after midnight for throwing fireworks and was later cautioned for the offence.
Investigations are under way into the theft of a car from a driveway in Kings Road after the keys were left in the ignition.
The vehicle was later recovered the same day after it was involved in an accident near Chard.
Police in Honiton say Christmas was also a “fairly” quiet time for officers.
On Christmas Eve an assault was reported in the town centre where a male was grabbed and pushed against a wall - no injuries were caused and the matter is being investigated by police.
Frozen food items were stolen from a freezer in a shed in Rosemount Lane on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day police were called to a domestic incident.
