Amber Home of Colour reflects the vibrancy and colours of the owner’s former home in India

Another new shop has opened in Seaton – bringing a splash of winter colour to the high street.

The latest independent retailer to arrive is Amber Home of Colour, in Marine Crescent.

Owner Liz Shepherd is selling quality home wares and soft furnishings in bright colours and tactile fabrics including rugs, cushions, bedspreads and tablecloths.

Many of the products are hand-made and Fair Trade. She also stocks a variety of accessories for the home including china, enamel ware and recycled aluminium/enamel kitchen ware.

Having grown up in Colyford Liz is delighted to be back after working in various countries in Asia. She said Amber Home of Colour was inspired by ‘the vibrancy and colours’ of India where she lived for four years.

Welcoming Liz Seaton Mayor Cllr Jack Rowland said he was ‘delighted’ to see the new shop in Fore Street, thanked the owners for investing in the town and wished them success for the future.
