RSPCA store is keen to reunite a man with his late wife’s distinctive ring found in a jacket pocket
An Axminster charity shop is keen to reunite a donor with his wife’s wedding ring.
The distinctive piece of jewellery was found amongst items of women’s clothing taken into the RSPCA store, in West Street, by an elderly man.
Supervisor Julia Johnson said the next day he called in again and asked staff if they had found a ring, which belonged to his late wife.
Said Julia: “We told him no because at that time we had not discovered it. But we did subsequently find a ring in a jacket pocket and we are really anxious to let him know.
“It must be of great sentimental value to him and we would love to reunite him with it.”
Now the store is appealing for the owner to get in touch so he can reclaim the ring. He can call into the shop or telephone them on 01297 631022.
