Mellissa Williamson, known to her friends as Lisa, died following the incident on Wednesday, which happened on the B3261 on Trafalgar Way near to Bow Bridge at around 7.45am.

Her husband Peter said: “Lisa was my world and brought nothing but joy into my life, and the lives of those she met.

“She will be sorely missed by all our friends, but doubly so by me, and our dog, Ruby.”

Police say the driver of a RAV 4 car remains in a critical condition in Frenchay Hospital.
