Axminster fuel theft warning

Some £250 worth of domestic heating oil stolen from a home at Raymond’s Hill

Police are reminding people to secure their fuel tanks after some £250 worth of heating oil was stolen from a private house in the Raymond’s Hill area at Axminster.

Thieves struck some time between 8am on Thursday January 30 and 6pm on Sunday February 2.

Anyone with information is asked to ring 101 and quote crime number KA/14/53.

Officer are also warning walkers not to leave personal belongings on display in parked vehicles following thefts from a number of cars in the Trinity Hill area of Axminster.

The say items such as handbags mobile phones and laptop computers should not be left on show.

“It only takes seconds to break a window and get into a vehicle,” PCSO Andy Trott is reminding people.
