Woodroffe School pupil Annabel Davies, 16, is crowned TeenStar 2017 Champion

An Axminster teenager has been crowned the national TeenStar competition’s singing champion.

Annabel Davies, 16, took the title in front of a capacity crowd and a prestigious industry judging panel at The Alban Arena, in St Albans.

Her beautiful performance of her original song “Nightmares,” won over the competition industry judges making her the overall singing winner of TeenStar.

She will now be offered a recording and development package, to professionally produce an album at one of the UK’s finest recording studios, River Studios.

After impressing the judging panel at the auditions, Annabel battled against more than 10,000 acts who entered TeenStar this year from across the UK.

She went on to perform in the TeenStar live showcases, battling through both regional and area final heats to make it to the national grand final.

Annabel has now won a comprehensive consultation package with Future Music, an extensive winner’s publicity package, and an amazing recording and development package to produce her own album.

Chris Grayston, head judge and director of Future Music said: “Annabel has been a stand out act throughout the TeenStar competition. She has really developed through the competition and her unique vocal range and beautiful performances make her a clear winner!”

Annabel who goes to Woodroffe School, at Lyme Regis, said she was absolutely ‘amazed’ at her victory.
