“It’s a brilliant way to meet new people and learn new skills,” says Alice.

Axminster Young Farmers’ Club is holding a new members’ evening on Monday (October 16) at the Ridgeway, Smallridge, at 8pm. Everyone, aged 10 to 26, is welcome to go along and hear about what members get up to.

Said spokeswoman Alice Gay: “Young Farmers is a brilliant way to meet new people, learn new skills and you do not need to be a farmer to be a young farmer!

“I have taken part in so many things and learnt so many skills which I would have never have imagined I would have done when I left school, including the annual performing arts competition. “This year the club will be taking part in the young farmers pantomime competition which will give members the opportunity to get up on stage and show off their talents as well as have a laugh!”

If you are interested in becoming a member of young farmers or have any questions please contact Rowan Short on 07496 798682 or Emily Gay on 07975 934816
