Motorcyle club travels from Bath to present a cheque to the RNLI crew
Fifty-six motor cycle enthusiasts roared into Lyme Regis yesterday (Sunday) to make a donation to one of their favourite charities.
The riders, members of the Bath Classic Motorcycle Club, delivered a cheque for £350 to the Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat station.
Club chairman Robin Howard-Evans said the RNLI and the air ambulance were their favourite charities.
Lyme Regis town crier Alan Vian welcomed the motorcyclists who arrived on machines ranging from a 1940 Norton to a 2012 Kawasaki.
The cheque was presented to Irene Roper on behalf of the Lyme Regis RNLI Guild and she presented the motorcycle club with a commemorative plate to mark their generosity over recent years.
