A nineteen-foot Shetland Cabin Cruiser was ransacked and consequently sunk and police are investigating.
Exmouth police are appealing for information after the boat was cut loose from its moorings sometime between 9.45pm on June 2 and 11pm on June 5.
The boat was eventually found upstream in the Duck Pond opposite Exmouth railway station tied to a tree.
There was extensive damage to the windows and mast.
Fittings to the outside of the boat were stolen and inside of the cabin was entered and left untidy.
The boat is now believed sunk due to sustained damage and is a total loss.
