Unexploded device - thought to be of German origin - discovered in a garden at Alexandra Road.
A residential area of Axminster has been cordoned off this morning (Tuesday, June 3) after a suspected wartime bomb was found.
The unexploded device – thought to be of German origin - was unearthed in a garden at Alexandra Road at around 9.15am.
A spokesman for the police said a 20metre cordon had been set up around the property and a bomb disposal team is on its way.
