Brownies from Honiton, Sidmouth and Ottery reached for the stars as they joined together for special birthday celebration.

To celebrate 100 years of Brownies the girls were set the challenge to collect stars from past, present and future zones. Activities included crafts, sunflower planting, biscuit decorating, creating aliens from gloves and socks and making space themed ‘deely boppers’.

The 150 Brownies, who attended the event last Saturday at Littletown Primary School, were also able to enjoy some more traditional games like skipping and hopscotch. Those brave enough were able to take on the giant inflatable assault course, which included jousting and a bouncy castle.

There was also a collection of Brownie memorabilia and uniforms on display.

After collecting all their stars the girls were rewarded with a giant indoor picnic and a lively disco whilst spending their money in the tuck shop. A large 100 birthday cake was cut and shared.

After the disco all participants renewed their Brownie promise and were give a special star quest badge.
