Intruders disturbed by a member of the public after breaking into Axminster Power Tools and Machinery store

Burglars fled empty handed after breaking into Axminster Power Tools and Machinery’s store in Trafalgar Way last night (Tuesday, January 28).

They forced rear doors to gain entry to the showroom some time between 6.30pm and 6.55pm.

But the intruders were disturbed by a member of the public who then contacted police.

Now officers are appealing for any witnesses and are very interested to hear from anyone who saw a dark coloured 4x4 vehicle in the area during this time.

If anyone has knowledge of who was responsible for this incident they are asked to phone 101 and quote crime reference ka/14/43 or telephone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
