Residents in Colyton are being invited to give their views on the Colyton Neighbourhood Plan.

The Colyton Neighbourhood Plan has now reached the First Draft Consultation Stage and residents and businesses have the opportunity to offer their opinions at two consultation events.

The first one will be in Colyford Memorial Hall on Saturday, September 22, from 9am – noon and the second will be a week later, at Colyton Town Hall, on Saturday, September 29, 9am – noon.

The draft plan covers Natural Environment, Local Economy, Transport & Travel, Built Environment, Community & Recreation Facilities, Woodlands and Community Horticulture and can be viewed on Colyton Parish Council website or hard copies can be viewed at Colyton Library, Colyton Parish Council Office, St Michael’s Chapel, Colyford and Colyford Memorial Hall.

For anyone unable to attend one of the consultation events their comments can be placed in comment boxes, which will be available where the hard copies are displayed.

The consultation process will end on Saturday, October 13.

The final plan will be a legal document and will be used in shaping the future development of the parish so residents are being urged to comment on the plan.
