Carnival club shows its support for local causes

18:04 09 June 2014

Nunsford Nutters Carnival Club has been showing its support for local causes in the area - raising money for Honiton-based charity Devon Freewheelers and Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Members presented a cheque for £100 to Devon Freewheelers, who provides an out-of-hours emergency courier service to the NHS and transports life saving medical supplies such as blood to hospitals.

The money was raised by the club during last year’s carnival.

Nunsford Nutters will be hosting a variety night on Saturday, June 21, and a donation will be made to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

The event is being held at the village hall in Colyton. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm. There will be bar and refreshments available. Tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. They are available from Colyton Londis or by calling Helen Wilson on 01297 551252 or Emily Miller on 01404 46965.
