Honiton charity Devon Freewheelers has been given a boost thanks to a generous donation from the Inner Wheel Club of Otter Valley.

A cheque for £500 was presented to Freewheelers volunteer Terry Hawkins at the charity’s headquarters in Durham Way by the club’s joint presidents, Eleanor Watson and Monica Highnam.

This year the Inner Wheel is celebrating its 90th anniversary and to mark the occasion the clubs have to do something which involves wheels. And Otter Valley Inner Wheel thought supporting the Devon Freewheelers would be a perfect way of doing this.

Devon Freewheelers provides an out–of-hours emergency response courier service to the NHS and transports important medical supplies such as blood to hospitals.
