Honiton’s tourist information centre has had a welcome boost following the success of the town’s very first sausage and cider festival.

Honiton Information Centre manager Heidi Radford was presented with a cheque for £100 last week by David Foster, of The Honiton Foundation.

The foundation organised this year’s festival and has been distributing money raised from the event to a number of local causes in the town.

Honiton Information Centre sold 1,000 tickets for the event.

David said: “The Honiton Foundation is more than happy to support the tourist information centre and the vital work it does in the community - promoting our town.”
