HOLIDAY MONEY: A charity which gives families the chance to holiday in Exmouth has been awarded a £6,000 grant.
Exeter-based charity Dream-A-Way secured the cash thanks to being named a local winner in the NatWest’s nationwide CommunityForce grant scheme.
The Dream-A-way charity, which provides holidays and outings for people with disabilities, said the cash windfall would help replace one of their holiday homes at Sandy Bay.
Jeff Merrett, Dream-A-Way chairman, said: “I would like to offer sincere thanks to all our hundreds of supporters who took their time to vote for Dream-A-Way and to NatWest for so generously funding this amazing initiative, which has helped so many local charities throughout the country.
“Our grant will be used towards the funding of a brand new, specially-adapted holiday home at Sandy Bay, which will bring delight to many families with disabilities for years to come.”
