Rotarians boost the town’s Canned Sunshine foodbank with £500 donation and provide drivers to take the aid to those in need
Axminster Rotary Club has donated £500 to the town’s Canned Sunshine foodbank.
President Malcolm Reynolds and Rotarian Ian Crawford presented a cheque to Aynsley Jones at the Axminster Health and Wellbeing Centre recently.
Rotarians have also discussed with the food bank organisers where most help is needed in the community and have set in motion a rota for the delivery of food parcels to those in need every Friday morning for the next few weeks.
They are asking members of the public to exercise care and show tolerance when encountering cars parked in Chard Street, around 11am on a Friday, as members park briefly to pick up the food parcels for delivery throughout the Axminster area.
