Transition Town Honiton to look into setting up a community orchard.
Honiton could be seeing a new community orchard take root in the town.
Councillor Sharon Pavey, who is also a member of Transition Town Honiton (TTH), told a meeting last week that the group was looking into setting up a community orchard and planting more greenery in the town. She said TTH had been contacted by the Blackdown Hills transition group, offering local parishes a free fruit tree, which she had accepted.
TTH is said to be thriving, with new members joining the fold.
