Breakfast in a bap raises £500 to buy more reading material for the village primary school
Selling breakfasts in a bap proved a sizzling success for fund raisers at Uplyme.
A group of dads manned the frying pans to help Mrs Ethelston’s School PTFA raise £500 towards more reading books for the children.
Eager customers enjoyed a tasty breakfast and a leisurely read of the morning papers.
PTFA secretary Sarah Vincent said the Saturday morning event had been a fantastic success.
She said: “One parent said how lovely it was to be able to relax with breakfast and the papers knowing that the children were having fun running around – with no washing up needing to be done afterwards!”
Mrs Vincent p[aid special thanks to businesses which supported the breakfast including Upping Your Elvis, Sugar Construction, Bigger Boat, Travis Perkins and The Co-op.
