The 68-year-old, well known in Sidmouth, died of his injuries at the scene after his Renault Megane was in collision with an Audi R8 near Hangman’s Stone at around 10.45am on Monday.

Mr Sawbridge lived in the Seaton area.

The other driver, a 52-year-old Colyton man, was arrested following the crash but was later released on police bail, until April 23, pending further police investigations.
