Casualty airlifted to hospital after collision in Stoney Lane

A crash victim had to be airlifted to hospital after a two vehicle collision in Axminster at around 3pm on Friday afternoon.

The accident, at the bottom of Stoney Lane, involved a car and a dumper truck.

Firefighters from Axminster and Colyton attended and removed the roof of the car to free the victim.

The casualty was flown to hospital in the air ambulance. Their condition is not currently known.
