People can learn to make decorations using natural materials at the Axe Valley Wetlands

Festive folk are being invited to design and make their own Christmas wreaths the traditional way at Seaton next month.

Rangers at the Axe Valley Wetlands are set to show people how to make their own seasonal decorations using natural materials at a special family day on Saturday December 8.

They will demonstrate how to create beautiful individual wreaths using nature’s sustainable produce.

Mince pies and mulled wine will add to the Christmas cheer and participants will have the opportunity to experience the incredible beauty and wildlife of the Wetlands during their visit.

The demonstrations and wreath-making will take place in the Axe Estuary Wetlands classroom, which is adjacent to the field studies base. There is free parking in the Wetlands car park at the back of Seaton Cemetery, on the Seaton to Colyford road. People arriving on foot can access the Classroom from the pedestrian entrance on Colyford Common.

People can drop in anytime between 10am and 1pm. The wreaths will cost £4 each, payable on the day.
