Police investigate two attacks on property in the village

Police investigated two crimes in the Uplyme area over the weekend.

The first incident involved an attempt to enter a metal container in the garden of a property at Tappers Knapp. The padlock was snapped off some time between 11pm on Saturday (June 21) and 7.30am the next day.

It is currently not known whether anything was stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to call Axminster police on 101 quoting crime reference CR/083709/14

In the second incident it is thought bolt cutters were used to remove the padlock from a building site shed in Harcombe Road. It happened between 9.30pm on Saturday and 8.30am on Sunday. Although nothing was stolen police would like to hear from anyone with information about the break in. Call them on 101 quoting CR/083547/14.
