Tuckers Arms’ runners present £1,200 to Force
The Tuckers Arms Relay Team, from Dalwood, has presented £1,200 to the cancer charity Force.
They raised the money by staging a bingo night and taking part in the 10k three hills challenge.
The two events raised a total of £950 which was topped up to £1,200 by the Dalwood 10k run committee.
Last week the team handed over the money to Dawn Frankin, the secretary of Force cancer charity, at a ceremony in the village pub.
The runners in the team are Tracey Mcgowan, Peter Lawrence, Tim waring, Andrew Davy, Dennis Freeth, Karen Drew, Richard Seward, Tony Benger, Kevin Tratt and Lorna Gould.
Cash prizes for the bingo night were donated by local businesses - The Tuckers Arms, Sewards Coaches, Tony Benger Landscaping and Andrewshayes Caravan Park.
