A visit to Seaton’s Artisan Market wins a local family a trip on the tramway

Members of the Welsh family, from Seaton, got more than they bargained for when they took a trip to the resort’s artisan market

During the visit they took part in a prize draw by calling at four of the traders’ stalls and getting an entry paper stamped.

And last week they learned they had won explorer tickets on Seaton Tramway as their prize.

The delighted winners are regular visitors to the market which takes place at Windsor Gardens on the first Saturday of each month.

Local mum-of-four Gail Welsh said: “We were all very happy with our prize. Interacting with the stall holders at the artisan market was easy and to win such a lovely day out on a local attraction which we enjoy is a great reward. We need to support local events and businesses in Seaton and to be rewarded for doing so is a bonus.”

The next artisan market takes place on Saturday, June 7, and visitors will have the chance to take part in another prize draw – this time to win two adult tickets to see Michael Bublé take-off band, courtesy of Seaton Tramway, worth £48, or a hand dyed original t-shirt from Sunshine Clothing.

Karin Frewin, who runs the Seaton Town Development Team said: “We have a great market lined up this June with everything from wood carving and driftwood to hand-made pottery and glass wear.”
