Christmas officially gets under way as the resort stages a long weekend of seasonal events
Seaton enjoyed a long weekend of festive fun as Christmas celebrations officially got under way.
A host of activities, organised by the Chamber of Commerce, took place in the resort on Friday and Saturday with shops opening late.
Events included the popular annual Christmas Fayre in the town hall and carol singing in the streets by the Seaton Together Singers, along with a Samba show by Seaton Primary School.
A candlelight procession was led by the Seaton Majorettes before the switching on of the Christmas lights by town mayor Cllr Gaynor Sedgwick.
The fun continued on Saturday when the Royal British Legion Seaton Branch held its annual coffee morning and Christmas prize draw in the town hall. There was also entertainment from Seaton Brownies and Seaton Majorettes.
