Get online in Honiton.

Silver surfers in Honiton are being given the chance to get online and take part in free taster sessions.

Age UK Devon is running the sessions at Honiton Community College with the help of students and apprentice volunteers from Cosmic Solutions Ethical IT.

The sessions teach and support older people, who want to learn or improve their IT skills in a friendly and relaxed environment.

“Our aim is to take the fear factor out of all things digital,” says Trish Warren of Age UK Devon.

The hour-long sessions run every Tuesday during school term time from 3.15pm until 4.15pm and 4.30pm to 5.30pm. The remaining sessions running this term are being held on March 11, 18 and 25, and April 1.

To book a free taste session call Trish Warren on 0845 296 7810.
