Four people in two small boats attempted to sail from Lyme Regis to Charmouth without lifejackets
Four people who attempted to sail from Lyme Regis to Charmouth without proper safety equipment were given warnings by coastguards.
Rescue officers spotted them travelling across the bay in two small boats, on Friday afternoon.
They had no lifejackets or any other safety equipment and eventually returned to Lyme Regis of their own accord.
Once ashore they were given safety advice by Lyme Coastguards’ sector manager.
