Demolition work has been carried out to make way for Hospiscare’s new day hospice in Honiton.

The state-of-the-art facility, which is to be built in King Street, will serve the communities of East Devon.

Building contractors DR Jones will be starting building work.

Fundraising efforts are continuing as the East Devon Day Hospice Appeal gathers pace.

More than £40,000 has been raised for the hospice.

The Midweek Herald is supporting Hospiscare’s East Devon Day Hospice Appeal. The charity needs to raise £250,000 to complete and run the new hospice.
