Archant

A cash boost for young musicians in Honiton has hit the right note.

Honiton Youth Orchestra has received a grant of £100 from Honiton and District Lions Club, which will go towards the purchase of some music arrangements. This follows recent cuts to the orchestra’s funding.

It took little too convince the Lions Club to lend a hand. Members were treated to performance of classical and big band music by the orchestra.

Lion Tom Boucher, the chairman of the welfare and social committee, is recommending that everyone in Honiton take notice of their local youth orchestra and take the opportunity to sit back and listen to them.
