Axminster pre-school throws a spooky party

Pupils at Little Acorns dress as witches and wizards

Pupils at Little Acorns pre school in Axminster dressed in scary costumes to hold a Halloween party last week.

The children bobbed for marshmallows in flour and wrapped each other in toilet paper to look like a ‘Mummy’.

The spooky festivities were part of a series of events to celebrate the autumn. This term all the children, aged two to four, have been cooking with fruit grown in the school garden and making Autumn wrist bands with items found on their welly walks.

A spokeswoman said: “Such activities are great fun as well as an opportunity to learn.

“Little Acorns is at the heart of Axminster Primary and still has some vacancies for children from two-years old. We except ’Golden tickets’ and 30 hours funding.”

Little Acorns, based at Axminster Primary Academy in Stoney Lane, is led by a qualified Lead Early Years practitioner supported by a team of highly experienced and trained play leaders.
