Jeanette Mullen presents a cheque to the RNLI in memory of her late husband Peter
Cheques totalling £985 were presented to the RNLI in Lyme Regis in memory of a man who had a deep affection for the town.
Jeanette Mullen, widow of Peter Mullen, travelled from the Bristol area to make the donation in his memory.
She said she and her late husband both enjoyed “a love affair” with Lyme Regis.
“We always enjoyed Lifeboat week and events like the bathtub race,” she said.
Mrs Mullen and her husband had a chalet at Ware Cliff in Lyme Regis, but lost it during recent landslips. They also had a boat.
“But although we never had to be rescued, the volunteers do a remarkable job so the donations are a way of saying thank you in my husband’s memory,” said Mrs Mullen.
