Man, 71, dies after car flips onto its roof in Yarcombe collision

A man has died near Honiton after his vehicle left the A road he was driving on and overturned.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, which took place on the A30 at Yarcombe on Friday (July 6), at around 7.15pm. Emergency services personnel rushed to the scene and the road was closed for several hours.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “A red Honda Prelude car left the road and overturned.

“The single occupant, a 71-year-old local man, died at the scene. His next of kin are aware.”

Weather conditions at the time of the incident were believed to be dry and fine, and visibility was good.

Police are now seeking any witnesses to the collision to help assist with their investigation.
