11:08 15 January 2014

Road closed in both directions.

A man has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the A303.

The incident occurred on the A303 near Marsh at around 6.52am and involved two vehicles - a Vauxhall Vivaro van and a red Audi.

A police spokesman told the Midweek Herald that the male driver of the van, who had to be cut free from the vehicle, was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

Fire crews had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to release a male casulty.

The A303 is closed in both directions between the A30 and A358.
