Lyme Regis lifeboat launched following police concerns for distressed man who was later found safe and well
Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat put to sea on Friday night following reports of a man in a distressed state threatening to jump from cliffs at West bay.
After being contacted by police, Portland coastguards requested the launch at 9pm.
But the crew retuned to base a few minutes later when the man was found safe and well in Bridport.
