Archant

There was plenty of messy fun and games for children and their families in Honiton.

St Paul’s Church hosted a messy church event during the half-term week.

Children were given the opportunity to take part in a range of activities from modelling with clay to decorating cakes. There was even an exploding volcano.

St Paul’s Church children’s worker Rose Millard said: “A team of volunteers made sure the twenty children and their families had lots of fun.”

All the activities, held in the Mackarness Hall, were based on the theme of love. The story of Beauty and the Beast was also brought to life during a special story telling session.

A sing-song was then held at St Paul’s Church with a short talk about the Wedding at Cana when Jesus turned water into wine.

Everyone then shared a meal of pasta and garlic bread followed by a delicious piece of wedding cake to end the day in style.
