Colyton fire crew called to remove metal sheeting precariously overhanging the road to Southleigh
Firefighters had to remove a section of metal sheeting which was overhanging a road in East Devon this morning (Wednesday).
One appliance from Colyton was mobilised following a report of a shed roof hanging precariously over the highway on the road to Southleigh at around 8.30am.
On arrival the crew located a large section of galvanised roof sheeting approximately 3m by 4m perched above the roadway.
One section of the sheeting was removed using winch and strops.
