The company has dismissed rumours that it is eyeing a unit in Lace Walk.
A discount superstore has dismissed rumours it is opening a new store in Honiton - but revealed it is opening a new outlet in Chard.
As previously reported by the Herald, it had been suggested that the company could be opening a new store in Honiton after a source revealed it allegedly held interviews for local positions in Axminster.
According to the source, the company had also been looking to move into Lace Walk.
However, the company has dismissed the rumours and confirmed it is not looking to move to Honiton, and will be opening a new store in Chard instead.
Although a spokesman declined to provide a statement, he said interviews held in Axminster were for positions in Chard, not Honiton like originally suggested.
A vacancy for a trainee manager for Poundstretcher based in Honiton has also been removed from a popular jobs site.
Mystery still surrounds which companies are eyeing a move to Honiton, with rumours suggesting The Edinburgh Wool Mill and Superdrug are considering opening up new stores in the town.
There are several live job vacancies for Superdrug Honiton posted on various job sites, but the company has not yet confirmed it will be opening a new outlet in Honiton.
