Unknown person left an item behind after dumping hedge cuttings in the middle of the road.
An Offwell man has expressed his frustration towards an anonymous gardening fly tipper – who left more than just a pile of leaves on the road.
Darren Langworthy, 37, of Northgate Lane, discovered the mound of hedge cuttings dumped in the middle of his road while walking his dog.
After his dad swept them to the side of the road, he also unearthed a yellow and black leather glove within the pile, which he thinks may have fallen off while the cuttings were being dumped.
“I’d like to find the owner of the glove for two reasons,” Darren said.
“One of them is to slap his or her wrists for dumping the cuttings in the road, and the other is to give the glove back.
“Fly-tipping in the middle of a road is bad enough, but at night it could potentially cause accidents to drivers unable to see the cuttings clearly.”
