Seaton Phoenix would very much like to thank all those who helped in any way during 2007 and wish a happy New Year to everyone. During 2007 we have provided display boards for the gateway towns, mace and baton for the Fire and Ice Majorettes, a bench by the boules pitch for the twinning committee, the Christmas tree in The Square, refreshment supplies for Age Concern and sponsored floral displays for Seaton in Bloom. Our next events include a cash bingo at Temptations on Thursday, January 17, a variety night, Palace of Varieties, at the Town Hall on Friday, January 25, a second cash bingo on February 21, a grand Leap Year dance on Friday, February 29, and our Easter bazaar in the Town Hall on Saturday, March 8.As you can imagine, all this activity creates a great deal of work for our small committee and we are always on the lookout for new members. If anyone is interested in helping provide the town with needed benefits, we would be very pleased to hear from them.In the meantime, I wish you all a very happy and peaceful New Year.Barbara Dearden-PotterSeaton
