1st Colyton Brownies joined residents at Abbeyfield Majorie Baker House for the unveiling of a special plaque to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The plaque was unveiled by brownie Holly Sweeney last Wednesday at Abbeyfield, which provides sheltered retirement accommodation.
It marked the spot where Holly planted an apple tree earlier this year.
Part of the brownies’ Diamond Jubilee activities, the tree, chosen by residents, was planted in Abbeyfield’s garden.
Residents were delighted to meet and mix with the younger generation when the brownies returned to mark the planting spot with the plaque.
