A sunny afternoon provided a perfect backdrop to Dalwood Recreation Ground’s second plant sale.

There was a good selection of bedding plants and perennials together with vegetables and herbs. The unusual tomatoes and chillies soon sold out.

There were some plants left and they will be sold in the centre of the village.

Interesting posters and leaflets about pollinating insects were on display and demonstrations on propagating plants attracted a wide audience.

A splash of colour was added by the various jugs displaying a variety of coloured foliage available in most gardens plus colourful Rhododendrons and Lilacs.

The day finished with a raffle which included some very generous donations.

The proceeds of the sale will go to Dalwood Recreation Field Trust
